 Île-à-la-Crosse School Settlement

The governments of Canada and Saskatchewan have agreed to settlements in the Île-à-la-Crosse School class action.

A judge is reviewing each settlement to determine whether it is fair and in the best interests of class members. The Settlement Approval Hearing took place March 30–31, 2026, in Saskatoon.

No compensation will be available unless the judge approves one or both settlements. You do not need to hire a lawyer to take part or to receive compensation.

Who is included?

The settlements cover two groups of people (called “classes”).
