When payments will be sent
Experience Payments
For Experience Payments, two interim payments will be issued to eligible claimants.
The first interim payment will be for claims submitted within the initial six months of the claims period (by November 30, 2026). There will be a second interim payment following the claims deadline of June 1, 2027, for all remaining eligible claims. The remaining amounts for all payments will be provided after the deadline extension period to submit Experience Payment applications has passed on November 30, 2027.
This payment schedule allows the Administrator to review all Experience Payment applications and calculate payments fairly for all approved claimants.
Abuse Compensation Payments
If your Abuse Compensation application is approved, payment will be sent in two parts:
- A partial Abuse Compensation Payment will be sent no later than one month after the application is approved.
- The remaining amount will be sent after the Ultimate Claims Deadline of June 1, 2029.
Sending Abuse Compensation Payments in two parts allows approved claimants to receive part of their compensation earlier, instead of waiting until all Abuse Compensation applications have been received and reviewed.
If additional adjustments are required after all Abuse Compensation claims are assessed, the final payment amount will be calculated by the Administrator based on the total number and value of approved claims.
